Epoch Lag
[Pronounced: ˈe-pək’ lag; or epic lag]
The intentional pause between eras, not rushing into the next epoch, but lingering to absorb lessons, memories, or meaning from the last.
It’s an acknowledgment that progress doesn’t erase the past, and that carrying pieces of an older epoch into the new one brings continuity, depth, and meaning.

Explore Features
Use new features to craft your Lag.
Stories weren’t meant to disappear in a feed.
We’ve added four new features (Conversations, Day in Review, Places, Find Inspiration) to simplify and strengthen how you can build your Lags.
“Day in Review” allows you to build upon memories traveling back in time.
Travel the map to revisit fond memories, easily crafting stories and building Lags as you go.
Looking for inspiration? Each week we share prompts to foster ideas for new Lags.
Or send prompts to friends and family to more deeply connect, learn something new, and hear their stories.
A Prompt Worth Sending This Week
What’s the moment you knew a friendship was going to last?
Share the prompt with a friend, or share an answer to the prompt with a friend, telling them your side of the story.
A Note From a User
On connecting with grandparents —
“They tell me a lot of stories, but I like to record them because I’m not confident that I’ll be able to remember all these little details.
It’s really nice to just hear their voice and remember the moment of them telling me that story, and just envision part of their life.”
